We will keep your details such as name, email address, contact and order details that are necessary to fulfill your order. These will be passed on to our suppliers if they are sending products direct to you.
You can ask for a copy of these details or request that they are deleted after 12 months..

Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
You will receive an emailed confirmation of order; this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Delta, Electron, Maestro, Mastercard Debit and Paypal via our SSL Checkout pages.
If you would prefer you can pay by Bank Transfer (details will be sent to you on your Order Confirmation) and we can call you back to process your Card Details over the phone.
Card payments are processed by Secure Trading; the UK's leading independent payment processor. Secure Trading are Level 1 PCI DSS compliant and so your card safety is guaranteed.
Paypal payments are processed via the Paypal Secure Gateway.
Housegoblin do not hold (or even see) your card details.
VAT registration no. 503531314996. No VAT is chargeable for countries outside of the EC and for the UK Channel Islands. A 0% VAT rate is applied during checkout after you have selected your country in the address fields.
EC Business to Business (outside of the UK)
We can supply your goods VAT free but need a copy of your official VAT registration certificate that will be verified on the EC database. Please scan and send this before your first order so we can set up your account correctly prior to ordering.
Credit Card Security
We do not store any credit card details. All payments are made via the Secure Trading or Paypal gateway.
All of our products come with a 30-day guarantee along with the manufacturer's warranty. Problems arising after 30 days will revert to the manufacturer's warranty although we are happy to facilitate the process.
Special Order Items
Special order items such as keys, Keyed-to-Differ (KTD), Keyed-Alike (KA) and Under Master Key (UMK) cylinders and locks, items with a custom finish or one-off items are not returnable unless faulty.
We hope that all is well with your order and that there is no need for this but...
If you wish to return goods you must contact us by email or in writing before making any return and we will send you a returns note. You should send items by a recorded delivery method to ensure that you have proof that we have received them. Goods must be in 'as received' condition in original unopened undamaged packaging and suitable for immediate resale.
Return of Faulty Goods
EC orders only: If you want to return faulty goods please contact us and we will arrange to have them picked up or we may ask you to return them by post and in this case we will reimburse you reasonable postage costs.
Non-EC orders: You will need to pay your own return postage costs.
Return of Non-Faulty goods
Special orders e.g. lock/key systems (Keyed Alike, Master Keyed), special finishes or custom changes are not returnable.
If you want to return non-faulty goods e.g. because you don't like them for some reason or you have ordered the wrong items, we will reimburse you the purchase price less shipping costs if you notify us by email or post within 8 days of delivery of the goods.
However you will need to pay postage costs yourself and we won't reimburse you for them. If your order had qualified for free shipping we will recover from you the actual cost to us of the shipping.
Non-faulty items returned between 8 and 30 days of delivery will incur a 25% restocking and handling charge if we choose to accept the return.
Goods returned later than this will not be accepted and can be sent back to you at your own cost.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
